“People are talking…â€?

When I talk about Heather Horton to friends, associates, and/or strangers who have not yet had the pleasure of experiencing her live at Chicago's Underground Wonder Bar, I am often asked to sum her up in a few words; Intense-Emotional-Intoxicating-Mesmerizing-Innocent-yet-Worldly. Simply put, Heather is an Angel.

In my years as an event planner here in Chicago, not to mention as a music fan, I've seen many acts come, and go. I truly believe that Heather is destined for stardom, on whatever level she chooses. The only question is, who will help her attain that status?

I suggest you see her live, and see if you don't wind up asking yourself that same question.

-Joe Stephen, Standing Ovation Entertainment

I've seen probably hundreds of bands over my career and yet there are a limited few that I can remember captivating me as Heather has on stage. Most anyone with a talented voice can sing on stage, and with work can put on a stage show, but there must be a natural stage presence in order to own that audience. I believe that a person's 'star quality'- not just their talent- is what makes or breaks an artist and all I can say about Heather on stage is - WOW!

If you haven't yet seen Heather live, I highly recommend the experience. I could go on and on about Heather's talented voice, unique style, her rockin' violin playing and awesome outfits that compliment her…well…rockin' body, but it is how she controls the stage and the audience that is the difference between gifted performer and 'national celebrity'. This 'star quality' ties all of Heather's many talents together. It's this entire package that captivates you as an audience member and sends you home feeling 'connected' to and energized by Heather. I have seen, on many occasions, first time audience members or passerby's drawn in, held captive and then released with the look of a gushing school kid running to their friends to proudly and excitedly report what they have just discovered. It's also interesting to note these same newcomers are almost always seen back at future shows with other friends in tow. It's infectious. Contagious. It's why I'm interested in seeing Heather play this out on a national level!

Now just for the record I admit to being a "Heather Horton" fan, but I'd like to think my 10 years of radio experience, including the past 5 years at 101.9 FM The MIX in Chicago lends credibility to me being more than just an average fan or groupie. I'm fortunate to be in the same demographic that I speak to

so I can speak first hand that Heather captures the attention of the 25-54

market...

PS

When you are there and Heather's eyes scan the audience and eventually lock

on yours for a brief moment right as she nails a note within her song-you

might find your heart racing just a bit, your mouth open and an energy… and the

music racing through you. Don't worry she'll let you go in a second-that's just

Heather saying hello. Just watch out when she picks up the violin... : )

As a producer and engineer, I work mainly in the realm of new artist development. Since 1990, I have had the good fortune to work with many talented artists, some which went on to become very successful in the music business and others that did not. Through my experience, I have

recognized that the reasons the artists succeed are a combination of raw talent, the uncompromising love for music, performance and people, responsibility, willingness to pull out all the stops to succeed, endurance and the ability to turn rejection, failure and pain into progressive success. In fact, some of the successful artists I have worked with were not even that talented, but the other characteristics I mentioned carried them.

There is no doubt that Heather is the most prepared, most talented and most capable artist I have had the pleasure to work with. She possesses all of the characteristics that I mentioned above with the highest standard of excellence that I have observed in the music business. Heather possesses two characteristics in combination with her extraordinary performance talent, song writing skills and stage presence. The first is her uncompromising professionalism and loyalty to her craft. The second is her strong desire to succeed, develop her art, skills and continuously improve.

-Scott Levy, Engineer/Producer

I first saw Heather perform about three years ago at the Underground Wonder Bar; since then, I have seen Heather perform every Sunday that I am in town. I am not unique in this respect; Heather attracts many "first-timers" back week after week. My first experience was extraordinary, but the show has only gotten better each time. I attribute this to her original music that dominates each set more and more.

Her clever lyrics and stylish notes continually elicit requests from the audience for her original

songs. From my observations, Heather is appreciated by every demographic, but I believe Heather needs broader exposure to best showcase her talents. Heather's steadfast dedication to her music quickly becomes apparent when speaking with her for even a few minutes.

I have tremendous respect for Heather and know that all of her hard work will bring to fruition great things.

As owners of Chicago's infamous Underground Wonder Bar, we, along with thousands that have crossed her path, can assure you that Heather Horton is a star. Heather has held court and captivated audiences reliably within our walls for years. Her incredible talent and originality have earned her a loyal fan base in Chicago which is aching to expand out of Chicago, given the exposure.

"Her electric violin and sensual voice are out of this world" quotes Karen J Layers from "Tangled Thoughts." We couldn't agree more.

-John Collins and Lonie Walker, Proprietors of the Underground Wonder Bar, Chicago IL
